Q - What camera did you use for Cameras and Coffee?

A. - Canon EOS R, 24-105 lens

Q. How long have you been taking photos?

A. Since high school, so around 2007 when I took my first darkroom class

Q. Why did you start photography?

A . I always tried all the art classes in high school but right away fell in love with playing in the dark room…so much so that I continued to study photography in college. If there wasn’t a darkroom in my high school, I’m not sure if I would have gotten super into photography or not.

Q. What motivates you when it comes to photography?

A. I like taking portraits of people who inspire me.

Q. Describe your photography style.

A. I think my photos are often bright and true to color. I love environmental portraits where you get a full picture of the scene around the subject. I struggle to remember to get close shots sometimes. I like capturing motion…I’m all about a good hair flip.

Q. Explain your Instagram name. 

A. I just used my name as it’s the name of my business, kinda boring haha.

Q. What are your photo goals for the next year?

A. I want to get more experimented with studio lighting and color. I want to hone in on my vision of personal brand photos that look editorial. I also want to start focusing more on experiences rather than just photography packages. I have a lot of ideas like entrepreneur branding and content retreats.
