Q - What camera did you use for Cameras and Coffee?

A. - Canon 6D

Q. How long have you been taking photos?

A. About 15 years

Q. Why did you start photography?

A . I won a point-and-shoot digital camera in school. I didn’t start with any objective, I just knew I liked it

Q. What motivates you when it comes to photography?

A. Sometimes you see something and you are compelled to grab your camera, or stop your car and get out to take pictures. Seeing other photographers’ enthusiasm does it, either through inspiration or jealousy. Watching good, well-shot movies. Going through my old shots and realized how much I like doing it, and I like my own style.

Q. Describe your photography style.

A. I don’t have a singular style, but I generally like to make images that have something surreal, dreamlike, or psychedelic about them. I often take pictures of buildings and those are usually fairly spare and lonely. I like pictures of people that suggest some sort of immense emotion that might not match what they were actually feeling and exhibiting at the moment

Q. Explain your Instagram name. 

A. My first name and an inversion of my last name

Q. What are your photo goals for the next year?

A. I’d like to start posting to Instagram again. I get discouraged. I generally keep taking pictures but most of them stay in Lightroom. I’d like to engage with my work and make more of an effort to share it
